A couple 99er activists (like myself) have been brainstorming ways for her to get into a better living situation. She found a homeshare that she likes and thinks would be a huge improvement from living in a motel room week after week. She needs $462 for a deposit and $462 for her first month's rent. If we could get 900 people to donate $1, we could make this happen for her. If you can do it, please try to make that simple contribution.

Hello all, Alexandra in Vermont lost her job in 2008 and has been struggling -- just like most of us -- to get a job, healthcare, food, fuel for her car and have a roof over her head. Her story has been featured on CNN, the New York Times and The Huffington Post. Several strangers have supported Alexandra to buy gas, feed her cat, and pay for room at a Motel 6, etc. However, she has had several health probs, gets very little gov't aid, and is at risk of losing her car any day now. She needs OUR help to get her in a better living situation where she can relax, quit stressing and not wonder where she will sleep next, have transportation to her doctors, etc. She is virtually at the end of her rope and has no other support except that which she receives from strangers.
